Greenlight Simulation Opens in Danville

State of the art simulator-based driver training for teens

Danville, CA — 5/23/23 — Greenlight Simulation is excited to announce the opening of its new simulator-based driver training center in Danville. Greenlight gives teen drivers the opportunity to learn to drive in the safety of a virtual world before they get behind the wheel in real life.

“Learning to drive hasn’t changed in 30 years and we’re going to fix that. Instead of just throwing new drivers behind the wheel like we do now, Greenlight’s simulation offerings enable new drivers to practice the basic foundational skills needed for driving along with the dangerous, difficult, and scary aspects of driving, all in the safety of a virtual world,” said CEO Jason Zimmerman. Research has proven that simulators are an effective driver training tool, and simulation is trusted in other high-risk industries like aviation, law enforcement, and medicine. Greenlight’s unique combination of curriculum, coaching, and technology represent a first of its kind training program to be offered to the general public.

Developed by driving experts who have trained US Special Forces, professional racing drivers, and US Department of State foreign service personnel, Greenlight’s training courses incorporate both skill building drills and immersive driving scenarios for things that you can’t practice in real life like red light runners, pedestrian interactions,

emergency maneuvers, and more. At the end of each session drivers receive a scorecard and video replays of their driving complete with Greenlight’s unique eye- tracking overlay which illustrates what the driver was looking at while driving. The feedback, training tips, and virtual coaching from Greenlight’s driver evaluation software combine to provide guidance on what the trainees need to continue to work on.

Greenlight knows that learning to drive can be stressful for both the teen and the parent. It’s hard to learn, or teach, when you’re nervous. Greenlight’s simulator training removes those learning barriers and provides a risk-free, low-stress environment where our new drivers get a grasp of the core driving skills, gain experience, and build confidence before getting behind the wheel in real life. Both parents and teens who’ve chosen Greenlight have said that the training courses eased their anxiety and have given them confidence to get out on the road.

Opened in December 2022, Greenlight’s Danville training center is actively training new drivers every day and the company plans to expand into other Bay Area cities soon. Learn more and book your training at www.greenlightsimulation.com.
